Don't have any money to go abroad?  That should not stop you.  When Dr. Ebeling was an undergraduate and wanted to study abroad, she applied for a Fulbright Scholarship.  It took a lot of time to put together an excellent application, but she got the scholarship in the end.  When Dr. Kaiser wanted to spend a semester abroad, he found a job at a Swiss hotel.  He had to peel potatoes, wait on tables, and clean toilets, but in the end his German was excellent and he had enough money to travel through the rest of Europe for three months.  Lack of money does not stop those who are determined and creative.  Talk to your advisor for ideas.

Harlaxton College

Ewha Woman’s University
Hansung University

More-Challenging Semester-Long Study Abroad Opportunities
You must find the program, apply, and work out the course equivalencies so you may transfer credit back here at UE. You will have to work out with the Financial Aid Office whether you may use your financial aid during the semeseter you are abroad.

International Student Exchange Program
Paris School of Business
Ewha Woman’s University
Hansung University

Most-Challenging Semester-Long Study Abroad Opportunities
If you want to participate in a Study-Abroad program not mentioned above, current university policy requires you to withdraw from the university for a semester. You may not apply your financial aid to defray the cost of these programs. You will have to figure out course equivalencies with the help of your advisor. It is unlikely any courses offered by these programs will count toward major or Gen. Ed. requirements, but you should be able to transfer them back to UE as electives. Despite the challenges, these are excellent programs worth investigating.
