Stay in Touch (and Network)!

We dig the world

Stay in touch with the UE community, we love to know what has happened to you. Dr. Ebeling maintains a Facebook page for current students and alumni as well as a blog where UE alumni can post information about their latest activities, both personal and professional.  Send them your own information so that we and others can know what has happened to you. These are also great places to network; find out who is going into work you would like to pursue and get into contact with them to ask where jobs might be had and what skills are needed.

What is Networking?

Networking is forming a web of connections that will help you achieve your career goals. When you connect with and impress others and tell them your career objectives, they can introduce you to others they know who can help you. Oftentimes people in your network may know about field opportunities, graduate programs, or jobs that have not been advertised yet or about which you may not be aware. They can also tell you what skills or degrees you may need to get the career you want. You can build your network through your professors, internships, and field schools, informational interviews with people currently in the field, and by attending professional meetings.
