The artist Masaccio established new standards for artists of the Renaissance with his work The Tribute Money. The exhibits excellence in linear perspective and chiaroscuro, while also integrating ideal human proportions and atmospheric perspective. This work, considered Masaccio’s greatest, gave artists an imitable model for their own works.
