Le Corbusier, Villa Savoye, 1930 / Frank Lloyd Wright, Fallingwater, 1935

These two architects both used modern design and techniques in the creation of their architecture, but they were based on very different philosophies. Le Corbusier’s house was inexpensive to build and could be placed anywhere in the world. Wright’s house was site-specific and was one-of-a-kind. Both created rectangle-based designs with radically different approaches.
