Greek Bronzes, Artemesion and Riace bronze A, c. 550-400 BCE
The image of Greek statues is a reminder of the their views of self-determination and the perfection of the human form. The nude body represented the perfection of the human will to overcome adversity and it was an expression of the perfection of the gods from whose image humans were created.
