BIOGRAPHY Ralph Larmann is an Associate Professor of Art at the University of Evansville where he teaches painting and general art courses. Larmann grew up in the Cincinnati area and received his BFA from the University of Cincinnati and MFA from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Before coming to Evansville he taught at Loyola University Chicago, Herron School of Art/IUPUI, University of Cincinnati, and Southern Arkansas University. Larmann is a former President of the college art organization F.A.T.E. (Foundations in Art: Theory and Education) and is currently working on an art appreciation textbook for Thames and Hudson which is tentatively due to be published in October 2010. He is also the author of the Art Studio Chalkboard and Figure Drawing Lab, online art tutorials, and co-author of ArtExperience, a CD-ROM available through Wadsworth Publishing. Larmann’s art has been shown in a variety of venues in the United States and United Kingdom. He has received numerous awards and has work in a number of collections. |
