ART 213 COMPUTER GRAPHICS: Introduction to Photoshop Illuminated Manuscript (codex) Research the attributes of illuminated manuscripts from the late Middle Ages. After evaluating the original, create your own combination of text and image.
Size requirement: image area 6" x 9" Parts of the Final Phase: The final printed version must be printed with crop marks. This should give a professional printer an idea of how the final page will look and show where to cut. Other pages may be added and even bound into a codex (book). Give the pages a uniform and professional appearance. Remember to leave extra space on the left side for binding purposes (move your text/image to the right on the finished page). This final printed version will be accompanied by cyan, magenta, yellow, and black color separations. These separations will be produced in black and white. The work should be matted or mounted if two pages or less are produced. More than two pages should be bound into a "book" form. Possible themes for the book include, but are not limited to: wise sayings, sports, poetry, the Bible, a fictitious ancient civilization, musical scores, a sketchbook, etc.
