Tuscany, Italy; excavation of an Etruscan site. This excavation is associated with UE and the director, Tony Tuck, loves to have UE students attend. This is already a UE course (ARCH 395), so you do not need to arrange for transfer credit.

This site is poorly organized, making it difficult to find projects that meet your specific needs and their information is not always up-to-date, but it is worth scrolling through anyway if you want still more options for field schools. Helping to Pay for a Field Schools UE gives archaeology majors $500 towards their first study abroad experience.
Jane C. Waldbaum Archaeological Field School Scholarship:
Open to any student who has a Pell Grant. Will help fund study travel abroad.
This organization offers scholarships of up to $2000 for people interested in excavating at any site in Italy from any time period or culture (the site need not be an Etruscan one).
There are some scholarships available to a select few outstanding students which may be used to help support participation in a field school that meets certain parameters.
If you are a minority, the AIA and APA have a joint scholarship for which you may apply.
BU has two field schools, one to Menorca, Spain, and the other to Guatemala. They offer merit-based and need-based financial aid to some non-BU students who participate in their programs.
If you are an honors student, there are funds available to you that are not available to the general student population. This link leads to an application for those funds.
Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society Study Abroad Scholarships: If you belong to the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society, they have scholarships available for studying abroad.
The RPA certifies archaeological field schools; this scholarship applies only to those that they have certified. Unfortunately few field schools have undergone the certification process. If they have, the director of the field school can nominate someone from the field school for the RPA scholarship. Therefore you have to apply for and be accepted into the field school before the director will consider putting your hat in the ring for the scholarship. This project has been going on annually since 1961. It is competitive to get in, but if you have some type of experience such as the ARCH 340 class or another field school, that can help your chances.
