ARCH 308 Greek and Roman Sculpture

 

Examines the development of sculpture in the Greco-Roman world.

Topics covered in detail include the evolution of naturalism in the

Greek Archaic period, the High Classical style of the 5th cent. BC,

the varied genres of the Hellenistic world, Roman Republican portraiture,

and Roman Imperial reliefs.
