to stop a process:

• hold down the command key and type a period.
  

In case of application freezing up:

• hold down the option and command keys and while holding them down press esc.
  
• a dialog box will appear. Choose the application that is frozen then press OK.

In case of system freezing up:

• reach around to the right side of the computer and locate the power button.
  
• hold in on the power button. The screen will go black. Continue to hold down for an additional 5 seconds.
• Let go then push the power button again to restart the system.

• Like a PC, a contextual menu is available by holding down the option key while clicking with the mouse.
  
• Going to the Finder and pressing the help key will bring up a manual of all eMac functions.
