Harlaxton College

Grantham England

Harlaxton College is the British campus of the University of Evansville.  Located in Grantham, England (about a 1 hour train ride north of London), Harlaxton College is the home each academic year for over 300 American students.  During the summer, the College hosts another 1,000 people pursuing summer school, short courses, or conferences and concerts.

The Manor is more than 150 years old, and it has a rich and varied history as an English country house, one of Britain’s “100 Best” according to Simon Jenkins of the London Times.  This elegant Manor took on its special role as campus and teaching home beginning in 1965 when Harlaxton Manor became Harlaxton College.  Since that time generations of students have benefited from the generous donation by Dr. William Ridgway of Harlaxton Manor to the University of Evansville.

Below are selected pictures of Harlaxton College.  More pictures of the grounds may be seen in the linked PDF file.  Current news and pictures may be found at the College website at: http://www.ueharlax.ac.uk/harlaxton/index.cfm
