First, be aware that this study guide is not enough to insure success on
the exam. Be sure to also review notes, any handouts and the text, including
the sections at the very end of each chapter.
Be sure to review and be able to recognize the definition of terms given
in the margins and elsewhere in your chapters.

about the trends toward diversity in the work force and the reasons for it.

the different theories of motivation and the major theorist for each. For
example, what does Herzberg's Motivation-Hygiene theory say
about improving motivation? What does
Skinner say about how we can influence behavior? Be able to recognize each theory from a
typical statement made by a worker.
(Tip: there will be several questions over these theories.)
12. Be aware of how leadership and conflict preferences affects
