TEACHING INTERESTS
My teaching philosophy reflects my liberal arts background. I feel students
should have as broad a background in science as possible. It is important for
students to gain basic fundamental knowledge, acquire the ability to understand
concepts and then apply what is learned to new situations and problems. My
interests in teaching include both chemistry and biology, and specifically I
enjoy teaching in the areas of ecology and natural resource management. Below
