Organic Chemistry Class Projects
Based on the research by Joe Pleen on atrazine degradation in wetlands, and with support from a Lily Development Grant, I have had students in my organic chemistry class investigate different methods for the analysis of atrazine in water and sediments of area wetlands. Two such classes have put together posters describing their work:
Comparison of Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay and Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectroscopy Analysis of Atrazine in Southern Indiana Wetlands.
