- Students must have completed all class work to be eligable
for extra credit.
- Note that three (short) sections of assigned reading from
chapters 30 and 34 have been added to the syllabus for the weeks
of 22 March and 29 March.
- Grades for student presentations will be posted sometime

- We may have some time to answer questions about exam material

- Diffusion and Osmosis lab report is due Tuesday in lab. If
you are unsure about how to do your report, please contact me
ASAP.

- Web notes for 8,10 and 12 Feb have been posted.
- Make sure to read the lab manual for Diffusion and Osmosis
before class on Tuesday.
- Demonstrate your meiosis skills in lab on Tuesday. Then finish
your lab report and turn it in Friday in lecture.
- Lab reports will be handed back Tuesday. Projected grades
will be posted Monday night.
- You should be thinking about a presentation topic. See the
web notes for 8 Feb for some ideas.
- Wednesday is the last day to see me about low exam scores.

her name). If you were at the exam, but your score does not reflect

- The written (typed) report for the first lab is due in lab
on Tuesday, 2 Feb. If you have questions about how to complete
this report please email me.

- The written report for the second lab is due in lecture on

22 January, 1999
- The web notes for 25-29 January have been posted, and material
from Chapters 4 and 6 will be added soon.
- Lecture quizzes take place in the first five minutes of class
and cover material from the assigned reading as well as from
previous lectures.
- Bacteria grew well on the plates in the lab. Plan to count
them and calculate a class mean and standard deviation on Tuesday.
- If you have not filled out a questionnaire with a PIN before
the first exam, your grades will not be posted.
16 January, 1999
- Remember that you should have filled out turned in the background
questionnaire. It is especially important that you have chosen
a PIN so that grades can be posted.
- Laboratory Quizzes take place during the first five to ten
minutes of lab, so be sure to arrive on time and prepared for
lab!
- Your First Lab report is due February 2.
- You should read the "Student Presentations" lab
handout and be thinking about the topics that you might be interested
in.
- Don't forget to attend MLK day activities on Monday.
